Enhanced DNS - How it works

Maintain complete control of DNS zone data while leveraging the Speed Edge Platform for optimal delivery of DNS resolutions.

Implementing Speed Edge Suite Enhanced DNS

1. You provision your DNS resolutions to be delivered by the Enhanced DNS service by logging into I.AM.Speed Edge, the Speed Edge customer service portal and configuring the specific domains, or DNS zones, to be delivered on the Speed Edge Platform. Once configured, the Enhanced DNS system will begin performing standard DNS zone transfers from your master DNS server and distribute the zone files to multiple Speed Edge-adminstered name Search Engines.

2. You instruct your Domain Registrar that Speed Edge will resolve your DNS zones authoritatively. Upon completion of this step, your end users will now be served DNS resolutions from nearby Enhanced DNS Search Engines.

3. The Enhanced DNS service continues to update DNS zone data from the Master DNS server as instructed in the usual DNS parameters, or through one-time notification requests by the customer.
